Grapevine & Cedar Blend

Flavor Profile

Our Grapevine & Cedar blend joins the sweet taste of grapevines from leading California wine producers with the distinct smoky flavor of cedar.  Together, they kick up the flavor of whatever seafood or shellfish you're cooking.

Select this Wine'd Up In Smoke blend when:

  • you want that delicious cedar flavor you love on seafood, without having to use a wooden plank
  • you’re preparing delicate seafood or shellfish that might be overwhelmed by bolder flavors
  • you’re already intending to grill or smoke with cedar wood and want to intensify that flavor to the next level!

Food Pairing

Our Grapevine & Cedar blend words best with seafood and shellfish, heightening the natural flavors of the fish, with an added sweet, smoky taste as well.

We love making salmon, shrimp and scallops with our Grapevine & Cedar blend.  And here's a tip: be sure to make extra so that you can have delicious sandwiches, tacos, wraps, and salads for days. Use leftover salmon in open faced sandwiches with griddled tomatoes on a light sandwich roll.  And who can resist smoked shrimp tacos!  It's so easy once you have the leftover smoked shrimp ready to go!

Wine Pairing

Seafood and shellfish grilled or smoked with our Grapevine & Cedar blend should be paired with lighter wines that will not overpower the delicate nature of the food or lightly smoky flavor of the blend.

We particularly enjoy pairing shrimp or scallop kebabs grilled in this blend with pinot grigio. The crispness and fruitiness of the wine goes well with the flavor of the smoke.
