Grapevine & Applewood Blend for Smokers
Flavor Profile
Our Grapevine & Applewood Blend is subtle yet delicious. This is our lightest and sweetest blend. In it, we combine the sweet flavor of grapevines from top California wine producers with the light, smoky, fragrant flavor of applewood. Together, they create a distinct light, sweet experience that's unlike anything you've tasted before.
Select this Wine'd Up in Smoke blend when
- you want tremendous flavor with a subtle smoky taste
- you're cooking lighter flavored meats and seafood and want to ensure that the flavors are balanced, not overpowered
- you're already planning on smoking with apple wood and you want to kick that flavor into high gear!
Food Pairing
With such a light, sweet flavor profile, this blend will work with pretty much everything you want to grill--beef, chicken, pork, sausages, seafood, even cheese and mushrooms.
We often make Grapevine & Applewood blend smoked chicken thighs, to serve as a main course but also to have on hand for all sorts of meals. It's great sliced thin on a sandwich or on a cracker with a little dijon mustard and buffalo cheese. Yum!
Wine Pairing
Because the Grapevine & Applewood blend imparts imparts a lighter flavor, foods smoked or grilled with this blend are best paired with lighter wines like whites and blushes. Think of chardonnays, rieslings, pinots, and champagnes.
We have also paired some lighter reds with foods smoked with the Grapevine & Applewood Blend. However, it's best to stay away from stronger reds to ensure that the wine does not overpower the light, sweet flavor that this blend produces.
