We'd heard about Texas Twinkies and couldn't wait to give them a try ourselves. We were having some friends over for a game night and these little finger foods would be the perfect little food surprise to add to the fun.
We googled "Texas Twinkies" and followed a recipe we found online. But, for added flavor, we didn't just grill them, we grilled them in our Grapevine & Oak blend for grills. (We also have a blend for smokers.)
And they were a hit. They went fast. We definitely should have made more!
Chef's Tip: Don't overstuff them and make sure your bacon is wrapped on firmly with a toothpick to hold it all in. Otherwise, the ingredients will leak out.
